We use only tried and tested products and applications; once they have been recommended by the appropriate official bodies we personally don’t use them commercially until we have tried them ourselves.
Roof restoration offer 3 options, as follows:
• 1: Basic Roof Restore with wash
• 2: Roof Restore and Seal
• 3: Roof Restore with Repair and Seal
All our processes begin with an anti-fungicidal wash, with different products to suit different tiles or roof surfaces. These products have been comprehensively tested, and only when we are sure that they do what they say they can, do we use them commercially.
Once the appropriate dilution wash has been applied we leave this to work on the moss or algae, etc. During this time we usually remove all down pipes from the property to ensure no blockages and minimise on clean up.
Post Restoration surveys and Repairs are vital…
Before any job can start we like to assess the site for access, potential hazards, etc. Once we have clarified these issues we can carry out a cam survey, which highlights any pre-works damage or unseen problems. This is a high-level camera system enabling us to check for possible problems from ground level, while showing you, our Client, exactly what is going on. These surveys do have a cost, which is time dependent, but when you ask us to carry out the works we will usually have included this cost in our quote. After the anti-fungicidal wash it’s essential to carry out another survey to check the integrity of your roof; from here we can repair as needed before sealing.
Regarding the sealing of your newly restored roof there are a few different options: for example we can use a clear, semi-impregnating sealer that will protect against future elemental damage or weathering whilst not changing the appearance of your roof.
We can refresh or even change the colour of your roof if desired – again this offers the same protective qualities as the first option. Some options change the actual profile of the surface of your tiles whilst some are not noticeable at all; we will run through the appropriate product with you and the individual benefits that each offers.
